Using up the old yarn and some new chunky goodness

I’m gearing up for fall festival season and am trying to work through my yarn stash to do it. But I couldn’t help myself and had to buy some new yarn when I saw this fun chunky rainbow yarn. I think it turned out perfectly with this hat! I used a bunch of little scrappy bits of yarn to create the muted striped hat and had some other acrylic to make the red and black hat. I love the color changing stripe.

Bright Gloves

I finally got around to using some bamboo and wool blend yarn that I bought a while back. I wanted to experiment with with diagonally ribbed pattern for fingerless glove and I think I’m most pleased with my second try on the teal pair. I also couldn’t resist combining the teal with the bright geranium red to make a pair that vibrates a bit. Reminds me of candy packaging.

More Fingerless Gloves

I’ve done a few more pairs of fingerless gloves, experimenting with color, length and pattern. I really like the way the cuffed version turned out in cream.
